The City's Urban Forest Strategy aims to create a resilient urban forest that is diverse and vigorous, while improving the livability values for the greater community and for future generations.
The main objectives of the Strategy are:
- the protection and retention of existing trees
- increasing tree canopy coverage
- increasing tree species diversity
- achieving age diversity of our urban forest
- informing and consulting with the community
