Parents and Bubs Fitness Classes

Build your bond with your baby through weekly group fitness classes at Bayswater Waves.

The sessions are designed to focus on pelvic floor, abdominals, increasing energy and getting your daily strength back.

Connect and interact with your baby and other parents while you exercise under the supervision of a qualified fitness instructor.

  • Bayswater Waves - Group 1 Fitness Class 4 week program, Tuesday - 10am, 26th April, 3rd May, 10th May, 17th May
  • Bayswater Waves - Group 2 Fitness Class 4 week program, Wednesday - 10am, 27th April, 4th May, 11th May, 18th May

  • The Rise - Group 6 Fitness Class 4 week program - Friday - 10am, 29th April, 6th May, 13th May, 20th May

Yoga in the Park @ Clarkson Reserve

Make the most of the great outdoors as you stretch, breathe and relax in one of our free yoga classes.

Classes are easy to follow and suitable for all levels, so don’t be shy if you have never done yoga before!

Please bring a yoga mat or towel if you have one, but if not we will supply you with one. 

Where: Clarkson Reserve, Maylands

When: Every Saturday from 9.30am - 10.30am for four weeks

Teen Bootcamp

If you are 12 to 17 years old and looking for some hard core fun, then join us for our free outdoor Teen Bootcamp.

With fun and challenging group exercises, teenagers will develop strength, fitness, coordination and agility - all within a positive team atmosphere.

You only regret the workout you didn’t do, so make sure you sign up for some fitness and fun!

Suitable for all fitness levels.

Where: Robert Thompson Reserve, Benara Road and McGilvray Avenue, Noranda.

The Bootcamp is a 5 Week Program run on Tuesdays from 4pm - 5pm on the following dates:

Free Baysie Outdoor Bootcamp

Baysie Outdoor Bootcamp

Let nature nurture your mind and body, as you sweat your way to a healthier you!

Outdoor training has been proven to reduce stress, boost vitamin D levels, and improve mental focus and mindset. Challenge your body in a fun, different way, and make new friends while doing it!

Location: Broun Park, 160 Broun Avenue, Morley. Park next to Bayswater Waves.

Held on Tuesday from 6pm - 7pm on the following dates:

Tai Chi in the Park

Experience the ancient art of Tai Chi. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. Tai chi is low impact and puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, making it generally safe for all ages and fitness levels. It may be  suitable if you're an older adult who otherwise may not exercise.

Aqua skills and Aqua aerobics

Whether you are a regular swimmer or just thinking about getting back into the water, Aqua Skills 55+ is a fun four-week program that refreshes your swimming, safety and lifesaving skills.

The free program is suitable for people over the age of 55 years, with a range of flexible options to suit every swimmer.

Held at Bayswater Waves, the practical program will provide you with water safety and lifesaving skills to help build your confidence in and around the water.

The program is a great opportunity to:

  • Get out and back into the water to improve your fitness and swimming skills.
  • Learn how to keep yourself and others safe when in and around the water.
  • Learn vital lifesaving, CPR and rescue skills so you know what to do in an emergency.
  • Meet new people and make new friends.

Then join us to learn how to use gym equipment safely and exercise effectively to get the most out of your routine.

This 6-week program is fun, interactive and sure to give you the confidence and skills you need to become a regular at the gym.

The City recently installed four new pieces of outdoor equipment at the park, including a quad extension, shoulder press, chin up bar and leg press. 

Join our 4 week program to learn how to use gym equipment safely and exercise effectively to get the most out of your routine.
