Free events and workshops for young people aged 12 – 25 in the City of Bayswater.

The City delivers events and workshops for young people aged 12 – 25, as part of its Youth Action Plan.

Youth Jam

  • Wednesday 15 April, 2 – 5pm

  • City of Bayswater Skate Park, Embleton

The City is celebrating Youth Week 2026 with Youth Jam, an afternoon of free activities for young people.

Head to City of Bayswater Skate Park to enjoy skate activities led by the Freestyle Now team, a sausage sizzle and a creative station. Get amped with music, work on some new tricks or just cruise around.

With giant games, prizes, fun activities and free bubble tea for the first 70 attendees, this is one afternoon you don’t want to miss.

Bookings essential. Youth Jam is supported by the Department of Communities.

TeenFit sessions for Youth Week

Put your body to the test with free TeenFit group fitness classes this Youth Week. 

Ages 12 to 14 can enjoy a HIIT-style workout, while ages 15 to 17 can improve their form and practice using machines under the guidance of a trainer. 

All fitness levels welcome, no experience required.

Writing Workshop with AJ Betts

  • Friday 10 April, 12 – 4pm

How do stories work? How do you make them both compelling and authentic? Join award-winning author AJ Betts for this practical workshop to learn how to infuse your writing with heart and tension. A light afternoon tea will be provided.

One Shot Dungeons and Dragons

Come along to an exciting one-shot Dungeons and Dragons campaign run by an experienced Dungeon Master. Beginners welcome.

Join Nami from Nami’s Art Room for a hands-on Biscoff bubble tea-making workshop.

Youth Zone

  • First Thursday of each month, 3.30 – 7pm
  • Morley Library, 240 Walter Road West
  • Ages 15 – 25

Come along to monthly sessions to work on your school assignments, tackle personal tasks or unwind with friends. Youth Zone is equiped with everything you need to stay on track, make progress and take charge of your life.

Each session, a guest presenter will help you build life skills and explore topics ranging from time management and job applications to vision boards and craft activities.

Registrations required for workshops. No bookings are required to use the drop-in space for general purposes.
