City seeks feedback from community to help shape our City
Mar 05 2024

Community members are being asked to help shape the future of our City by taking part in the City of Bayswater Strategic Community Plan review.

The Strategic Community Plan is reviewed every four years to ensure it’s aligned to the changing needs of the community.

Mayor Filomena Piffaretti said the review provides community members the opportunity to share with Council what is important to them.

“The Strategic Community Plan guides everything we do at the City. It captures the City’s vision, priorities and aspirations for the next 10 years as outlined by you, the community,” she said.

“It’s our role as a Council to champion the needs of our community. We need to understand what is important to our community in order to guide our decision making.

“In 2020, the City undertook extensive community consultation to inform the development of the 2021-2031 Strategic Community Plan.

“The review of this plan gives us the opportunity to check in with our community to ensure we understand their vision and priorities for the future.

“To have your say, we’d like our community to answer two questions:

“Looking forward 10 years, what sort of place would you like the City of Bayswater to be? and What would you like us to prioritise over the next 10 years to improve our City?

“Feedback can be provided online at engage.bayswater.wa.gov.au or in person at the City of Bayswater Civic Centre and three libraries.”

Submissions close 5pm, Monday 29 April.
