Planning a Community Event

If you are considering planning a community event within the City of Bayswater, we are here to help, support and guide you through the City’s event application process.  Applications are necessary -  as the event organiser, you are required to comply with the WA guidelines for concerts, events and organised gatherings, and the Health Act 1911

Selecting a Venue

The City has many venues available for hire across the City however, not all will be available and/or suitable for your event.  Please read about the venues below to help you select the perfect venue for your event.

Bardon Park, Maylands

Bardon Park in Maylands is ideal for birthday celebrations and small community-led events, where less than 2,000 people are expected to attend.  To book this venue, please call the City on 9272 0622 or email mail@bayswater.wa.gov.au.

Public Toilets:

Bardon Park has a public toilet building. The toilet is  opened automatically at 6am and closed automatically at 8pm. This toilet is unisex. *Please note - if you wish to book the reserve for an event with over 100 attendees, you will need to hire portable toilets.  For further information, please see the event guidelines below.

Special Considerations:

Each of the City’s reserves are different due to their size, location, usage and access to amenities.  There are special considerations for some reserves as outlined below.

Bert Wright Park, Bayswater

What to do next

Once you have decided on your event venue, you will need to contact the City to make a venue booking.  You can do this by completing the form below and returning it to mail@bayswater.wa.gov.au. If you have any further questions regarding the venue, please call the City’s Booking Officer on 9272 0622.

Once you have completed the venue booking form, a City officer will contact you via email regarding venue hire fees and bonds.
