Rates smoothing

What is rates smoothing?

Rates smoothing makes it easier to manage your rates bill. It works by spreading your rates payments into smaller, more manageable, payments.

Rates smoothing is paid by direct debit from a cheque or savings account on a weekly, fortnightly or four-weekly basis.

Interest of 5.5% is incurred when paying by rates smoothing.

Payments

Decide whether you wish to pay weekly, fortnightly or every four weeks. Your 2024-2025 rate notice shows the calculated payments.
