Ellis House

Ellis House is located at 116 Milne Street in Bayswater.

Construction on Ellis House began in 1912, and the weatherboard building was originally the first local dairy farm in the Bayswater District. 

In 1995, the City of Bayswater restored the property and it is now open to the public as a community art centre which is now referred to as Ellis House Community Art Centre in 2004.

Ellis House Community Art Centre hosts over 15 art exhibitions annually, with new exhibitions by local emerging artists held every three weeks. The exhibitions and official openings are free and everyone is welcome to attend. Diverse art classes are held each week, and social painting and drawing happens regularly on the verandahs and landscaped grounds. The Ellis House Art Community Centre provides a welcoming meeting place for Perth creatives and those that love art.
