Youth Events and Workshops

The City delivers events and workshops for young people aged 12 – 25, as part of its Youth Action Plan.

The City is proud to host the following upcoming workshops for Youth Week 2025:

 

Hook Line and Stitch

Crochet Threads (Ages 12 – 25)

  • Thursday 10 April, 4 – 6pm

  • Bert Wright Park, Bayswater

Learn basic crochet stitches at this wholesome workshop led by Zoe Damatova. Express your creativity and make new friends as you stitch. Bookings essential.

  • Saturday 12 April, 8.30 - 10.30am

  • AP Hinds Reserve, Bayswater

Build your fishing skills at this workshop run by Recfishwest. Learn to fish sustainably as you relax with your mates by the river. Bookings essential.

The Aboriginal Flag is divided horizontally into equal halves of black (top) and red (bottom), with a yellow circle in the centre. The Torres Strait Islander Flag - a white dharri or deri (a type of headdress) sits in the centre, with a five-pointed white star underneath it.

The City of Bayswater acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation, and pays its respects to elders past, present and emerging.
