Many factors can influence projects and how they are are delivered. At the City of Bayswater, we value the input of our community and stakeholders to help shape these decisions.
What is community engagement?
Community engagement is planned, two-way information sharing with the purpose of working with the community and stakeholders to make decisions. The City's community engagement approach is aligned with the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) best practice principles.
Why is community engagement important to us?
- As an organisation, we have an understanding of wider community views when making decisions
- The community can express their views and take ownership of the decision making process
- We learn new and valuable information from people who live, work and play in the City every day
- We can be a responsive organisation.
