Play Space PLAN

The City of Bayswater’s Play Space Plan aims to create vibrant, inclusive play spaces for people of all ages. The plan focuses on improving both the enjoyment and functionality of play areas, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of the community.

Taking a holistic approach, the Play Space Plan considers the surrounding environment, existing public open spaces, and current play opportunities. It is supported by a 10-year implementation program that is reviewed annually.

Each year, the City proposes a list of potential play space redevelopments for Council’s consideration. These proposals are informed by feedback from local residents and park users and may be refined to respond to local needs or changing circumstances.

The Play Space Plan provides a clear framework for designing and improving play spaces across the City, helping to deliver a range of high-quality play experiences close to home.

The City offers a variety of parks and reserves for the community to enjoy. If you are planning an event in one of our parks or reserves for more than 100 people which includes infrastructure (stage, marquees and or amusements rides), food trucks, parking management, speakers or alcohol, you may need to complete an event application. Please visit our Planning an event webpage for more information.
