City of bayswater skate Park

Via Wotton Street, Embleton, WA 6062

Skate, scooter and BMX riders of all ages and abilities can test their skills on the variety of elements throughout the park, including WA's biggest vert ramp.

Other facilities include:

  • Playground
  • Sporting facilities and clubrooms (soccer)
  • Public toilets
  • Pedestrian paths
  • Sports field floodlighting
  • Free public parking
  • Water fountain

Lighting is on from 5pm to 10pm in winter and 7pm to 10pm in summer, with lights beginning to turn off at 9.55pm.

Bayswater BMX and Mountain bike facility

Via Claughton Reserve off Katanning Street, Bayswater, WA 6053

Located under the Mooro-Beelo Bridge, this facility provides a beginner and intermediate pump track, two mountain bike tracks and skills area. 

Users are responsible for selecting tracks that are within their ability and limits.

  • Beginner: Riders will encounter small rollable obstacles and technical features.
  • Intermediate: Riders will encounter obstacles and technical features including drops and will require some technical biking experience.

Safety Rules

  • No motorised vehicles to be used
  • AS/NZS 2063:2008 approved bicycle helmet and enclosed footwear should be worn at all times
  • No motorised bikes
  • Stay off the trails when not riding
  • Children must be always supervised. The City of Bayswater accepts no responsibility for loss or injury sustained at this facility.
  • Ride only in the direction indicated on the map
  • Share the trail and be respectful of other riders
  • No dogs allowed
  • Respect the local environment; pick up your rubbish
  • This facility is intended for daytime use only under sufficient natural light. Lighting installed onsite is for security purposes only.

Crimea Reserve Skate Park

Crimea Skate Park replicates a street-style circuit with a variety of ledges and rails.

Other facilities surrounding the skate park include:

  • Shaded gazebos
  • Sporting facilities and clubrooms (baseball)
  • Half-court basketball
  • Playground
  • Pedestrian paths
  • Sports field floodlighting
  • Toilets
  • Free public parking

Lighting is on from 5pm to 9.30pm in winter and 7pm to 9.30pm in summer.

 

Lightning Park BMX Track

Lightning Park offers a small BMX jump circuit within bushland.

Other facilities surrounding the park include:

  • Sporting reserve and clubrooms (AFL, tee ball and gridiron)

SKATE AND BIKE DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY GROUP

The City of Bayswater Skate and Bike Development Advisory Group (SABDAG) provides Council with feedback and suggestions for the Skate and BMX Strategy and other initiatives such as the proposed Coode Street Pocket Park, which is slated to include skating elements.
