2026 Community Planting Days
Help protect and enhance the natural biodiversity in our City by taking part in a community planting day.
Planting days take place from 9am to 12pm, with trowels, gloves and morning tea provided.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves, as well as sturdy footwear (gumboots are useful if you have them), a raincoat, hat and water bottle.
Please be aware there may not be toilet facilities at certain sites.

Come along to All About Trees from 9.30 to 11.30am to meet the City's arborists, learn tips and tricks for tree maintenance and pick up your very own tree.
Bring along the family enjoy an animal encounter with Kanyana Wildlife.
This project is funded by the Australian Government's Urban Rivers and Catchments Program, with the support of the City of Bayswater.

Celebrate NAIDOC Week by taking part in a traditional smoking ceremony.

Maylands Samphires, Maylands
Samphires are coastal succulents often referred to as the lungs of the river for their ability to store carbon, prevent riverbank erosion and support a healthy ecosystem for other organisms.
