The Inclusion and Diversity Advisory Group functions to provide advice and recommendations to Council in relation to:
The development and implementation of the City’s Access and Inclusion Plan 2020 – 2024 (AIP); and
Promoting equality and equal opportunity for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and people who identify as LGBTQIA+ accessing and utilising the City’s services and programs.
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS - INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY ADVISORY GROUP 2023-2025
The Inclusion and Diversity Advisory Group (IDAG) advises and assists the City to focus on promoting equality and equal opportunity for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and people who identify as LGBTQIA+ accessing and utilising the City’s services and programs.
The City is seeking up to 10 community members to join the IDAG, who meet one or both of the following criteria:
- Identify as LGBTQIA+ or be able to contribute expertise or advice on matters relating to LGBTQIA+ community members.
- Identify as being from a culturally and linguistically diverse background or be able to contribute expertise or advice on matters relating to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Community representatives are sought for a maximum two-year term, until October 2025.
Nominations should be submitted in writing by completing the Expression of Interest application below. The Terms of Reference and options for how to submit completed nominations are also listed below.
