National Disability Insurance Scheme partnering with Mission Australia

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) allows Australians with a permanent and significant disability the freedom to choose the life they want to live. The scheme helps people with disability to access the supports that are right for them and assists in building their skills to actively participate in their community.

Mission Australia's NDIS Local Area Coordination Service helps people with disability to understand and access the NDIS, and create, implement and review their NDIS support plan. At the same time, Mission Australia also work with local people and groups to build communities that are more welcoming and inclusive so that everyone, regardless of their NDIS eligibility, can benefit.

During this period associated with the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Mission Australia Community Engagement Team are available to provide information and to help link you to mainstream and community supports.

There are also some groups being set up for people to call in and connect with online activities:

  • Creating stories
  • Discussions on books
  • Discussions on TV shows
  • Bingo
  • Quizzes
  • Assistance with NDIS - virtual hub
  • Group crosswords and more

For people living in the City of Bayswater, please contact:
