Residential waste collections

The City's waste services include: 

  • 1 xWeekly 240 litre bin for FOGO (Food Organics, Garden Organics only) (lime-green lid)
  • 1 xFortnightly 240 litre bin for recyclables (yellow top)
  • 1 xFortnightly 240 litre bin for general waste (red top)

Please ensure bins are less than the 70kg maximum weight for collection.

Commercial waste services

Commercial businesses are not required to use the City’s Waste Service. We recommend businesses to engage with a private waste contractor who can offer:

  • Onsite collection services.
  • Bins larger than 240L.
  • Collections more frequent than fortnightly for general waste and recycling.
  • Waste types that better your suit your businesses waste disposal requirements.
  • Direct contact with the contractor.
  • Competitive pricing.
  • Flexibility when waste generation and requirements change. 

Businesses can request a waste service through the City, which includes:

  • 1 x Fortnightly 240 litre bin for recyclables (yellow top) 
  • 1 x Fortnightly 240 litre bin for general waste (red top) 
  • Optional: 1 x Weekly 240 litre bin for FOGO (Food Organics, Garden Organics only) (lime-green lid)

    Maintenance requests and missed collection

    To report a missed collection, or request a rubbish bin repair or replacement, please contact the City's bin line on 9272 0605 or email waste@bayswater.wa.gov.au. Option 2 will transfer you directly to Cleanaway to assist, while Option 3 will transfer you to a City of Bayswater Officer to assist.

    Missed collections must be reported within 48 hours of the collection day to be eligible for Cleanaway to return. Reports outside this 48 hour window cannot be actioned.
