PALMER, SALLY

Candidate Name: Sally PALMER
District: City of Bayswater
Nominating for: Councillor for North Ward
Election Type: Extraordinary
Enrolment Status: PALMER, Sally is eligible to stand for election as a resident of
the City of Bayswater.

I've lived iNoranda for 30 yearsI'm deeply ingrained in our community. This election is happening because some on Council put factional interests ahead of residents.  It's  costing us $70,000.  As an independentwon't play political games. On Council, I achieved many positive outcomes:

  • supporting seniors and people with disabilities;
  • funding footpaths and shade trees;
  • maintaining parks and natural areas;
  • upgrades to Morley Sport & Rec Centre;
  •  better mobile reception;
  • protecting our palm trees.

I opposed downsizing the red-lid bin and the 9.9% rates hike in the last 2 years. fought attempts to slash funding for playgrounds, improvements in Crimea Park and verge maintenance. I'll  push  for  redevelopment  of  the Noranda Nursery to meet community expectations; mozzie mitigation; support for local clubs; greater safety.

The two new train stations could bring big development. Unlike some, I'm not associated with developers and will protect Noranda's character. Your support is invaluable.
