Residents will soon be able to purchase 10 native plants for $10 as part of the City’s annual Plants to Residents program.

Run in collaboration with Enviro House, the initiative encourages residents to create waterwise gardens and help build a climate change-resilient community.

Local green thumbs can head to the launch event at Crimea Park from 9am to 12pm on Sunday 5 May to snap up their plants, browse a range of sustainable products for sale, pick up gardening tips and tricks, and get up close and personal with critters from WA Birds of Prey.

Residents unable to attend the launch event can purchase a ticket online from 9am, Tuesday 7 May to collect their plants from Enviro House between 7 and 9 June.

Remaining plants will be available for purchase for $1 each from 12 to 2.30pm on Sunday 9 June with a limit of 10 plants per household.

The City’s Plants to Residents program is proudly co-funded by Water Corporation’s ‘Waterwise Greening Scheme’ and will help the City become a leading waterwise Council.
