| Description | Powerline pruning is to be undertaken from 1 January – 30 May each year, with approximately 12,000 trees within the vicinity of a low or high voltage powerline. It is imperative that tenderers have capacity for achieving the City’s program completion dates, unforeseen difficulties relating to the work environment and condition of trees for which provision has not been made in the tender will not relieve the Contractor from the obligation to fulfil the contract. The pruning of trees located within the vicinity of high voltage power lines is outside the scope of this tender and are generally undertaken through the Arboricultural works Tender or Western Power. This work will be undertaken City wide, however works are intended to be awarded to more than one contractor. As such, separable portion A includes Zones 1 to 3 and 7 and separable portion B includes Zones 4 to 6 inclusive. This division aims to provide an equitable split in the volume of trees. |
