DOG-FRIENDLY EXERCISE AREAS

The City of Bayswater has a large number of dog-friendly areas where your dog can enjoy a run around without the restrictions of a lead. Although the City provides these areas, we seek to educate and remind dog owners of their responsibilities when using these areas as they are also used by the general public for a number of activities. While off the lead we ask that your dog(s) be under the control of a responsible person and that your dog(s) do not cause a nuisance to other park users.

The City's guidelines for using our dog-friendly areas are:

  • Dog owners should carry a leash at all times
  • Dog owners must be in control of their dog and have the ability to call their dog over and attach a leash as required
  • Clean up after your dog, dog poo bags are generally provided by the City at all dog-friendly areas
  • Be particularly careful with your dog around children as even a friendly dog can injure a child just by playing
  • Be courteous to other dog owners and respect those dogs that play alone or are undergoing training
  • If your dog is social and likes to play with other dogs, please check with the other dog owner/s first.
