Residential Burglary Campaign hits the streets

Posted on June 23, 2017

Helping Bayswater residents keep their homes safe from thieves is the aim of a new Residential Burglary campaign developed by the City of Bayswater.

As part of the campaign City staff will visit shopping centres and recreation centres in the Bayswater area to provide information on keeping your home safe.

"A residential burglary imposes a significant cost upon the community," Mayor Barry McKenna said.

"The experience of being burgled can be traumatic, leaving you feeling violated and unsafe in your own home.

"The City of Bayswater is running this campaign to provide residents with practical tips to prevent your property from being targeted by criminals, prevent repeat burglaries and provide useful contacts and support in the event of a burglary.

"This is something we can all do as a community to work together and keep our homes safe."

The campaign is part of the Community safety Plan recently adopted by the City.

City of Bayswater staff will be available on the following days at these venues:
