Places to Play

Posted on May 25, 2017
Having wonderful places to play and recreate is a very important part of what makes our City 'The Garden City'.

We are working hard to improve the public realm and enhance the amenity of our parks and are currently making the second round of improvements to the nature playground at Bert Wright Park in Bayswater.

Stage two will see a multi-purpose sports court installed, barbecue and picnic areas, as well as more accessible pathways through the park.

The project has been generously funded by Lotterywest, with the City contributing $100,000 to stage one of the project. We are grateful that local volunteers the 'Baysie Rollers' assisted the City with the Lotterywest grant for stage two of the upgrade.

If you visit Bert Wright Park regularly you'll notice there is still some landscaping around the playground to occur which will finish off the project.

The great news is the nature playground is now open and I'm sure this will fast become a much loved space for locals and visitors alike.
