The City of Bayswater is bringing joy to those in need this festive season by accepting donations on behalf of crisis accommodation provider Orana House, as part of its annual Food Appeal.
City of Bayswater Mayor Filomena Piffaretti encouraged community members to share in the festive spirit and help support vulnerable community members by donating food, hygiene or Christmas items.
“Christmas can be a particularly difficult time for those who are already doing it tough,” said Mayor Piffaretti.
“The City is proud to be supporting Orana House this year, which provides critical support to those facing family and domestic violence.
“Toys and Christmas items such as puddings and bonbons can bring comfort to our community members who are experiencing hardship, while simple items like non-perishable pantry supplies help put food on the table.”
Donations are being accepted at the following locations until Tuesday 17 December:
- Civic Centre, 61 Broun Avenue, Morley
- Morley Library, 240 Walter Road West, Morley
- Bayswater Library, 25 King William Street, Bayswater
- Maylands Library, 28 Eighth Avenue, Maylands
- Bayswater Waves, corner of Broun Avenue and Priestley Street, Embleton
- Morley Sport and Recreation Centre, 12 Wellington Road, Morley
