| Description | To improve the safety of roads for local communities, the State Government is implementing its four-year Low Cost Urban Road Safety Program (Low Cost URSP). The program will deliver treatments to local roads, on an area-wide or whole-of-street basis, to reduce crash risks for drivers and vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians and cyclists. The City of Bayswater will be one of the first local governments to roll out the recommended safety treatments under that program. Whilst there are a number of proposed precincts for these safety treatments in the City of Bayswater, this particular Request for Tender (RFT) covers Phase One, which is for the designated precincts (Frank Drago Precinct and Bayswater Waves Precinct) |

| General comments | COUNCIL RESOLUTION (OFFICER'S RECOMMENDATION) That Council: 1. Acknowledges that no submissions were received for Tender 08-2022 - Proposed Asphalt Treatments and Associated Works; 2. *Authorises the Chief Executive Officer to negotiate with suitable companies to supply the works requested under Tender 08-2022 Proposed Asphalt Treatments and Associated Works; and 3. Authorises the Chief Executive Officer to award contracts for the Low Cost Urban Road Safety (LCURS) Program, with a total contract value not exceeding $1.0M. * As per Local Government (Functions and General) Regulations 1996 tenders do not have to be publicly invited according to the requirements of this Division if — within the last 6 months — the local government has, according to the requirements of this Division, publicly invited tenders for the supply of the goods or services but no tender was submitted that met the tender specifications or satisfied the value for money assessment |
