The City of Bayswater is fast becoming recognised as a leader in innovation, both locally and further afield. Our work has earned us a place in a number of prestigious national awards, cementing our reputation as a high performing organisation.

This month, we proudly accepted the ABA100 Change Management award at The Australian Business Awards 2019 for our organisational improvement project, SEED (Service Excellence Evaluation through a process of Discovery). This project helped the organisation find new ways to deliver the services our community value in the most efficient way possible.

This week, the City is being honoured at the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia awards. Nominated in two categories, our Bayswater Brook Catchment Management Project is again receiving considerable attention from industry professionals. Our innovative approach to online mapping has also earned us a nomination at the national iAwards for the City Maps portal.

I am proud to stand behind an organisation that is ambitious, strives for improvement and is adaptive to change. We are putting our best foot forward and people are starting to take notice. These awards are a credit not only to City staff and Council, but to our community who encourage and support the organisation to excel. These projects help make the City an even better place to live, and we look forward to what comes next.
