Message from the Mayor
It's hard to believe we are already at the end of the year - Christmas is almost upon us and the City has pulled out all the stops to help you get ready for the festive season. No matter how you like to celebrate, there is something for you.
Inside this issue we have tips on how to have a more sustainable holiday season, or you can send your kids to a Waste Free Christmas Workshop at Enviro House. Don't forget to mark 14 December in your diary and join us at Halliday Park for Carols by Candlelight.
It is the season of kindness and giving, so we encourage all of you who can to help those in need by donating non-perishable food items and bathroom products at one of the City's Christmas Appeal drop off points. See the back page for more information.
Rest assured, the celebrations don't stop with the festive season - we have a full calendar of events to see you through summer. There is the Perth Symphony Orchestra, Jazz in the Park, Movie in the Park, and Twilight Markets to help us make the most of our warm summer evenings in some of our beautiful parks in the heart of the inner east.
This is a wonderful time of year to enjoy all the City has to offer; and on behalf of my fellow Councillors, executive and staff at the City of Bayswater, I wish you a safe and happy Christmas and New Year.
