More than 170 thrifty locals have registered to host garage sale events at their homes and businesses over two days this October, as part of the City of Bayswater’s first year taking part in the Garage Sale Trail.
Taking place right across Australia this October 19 & 20, the Garage Sale Trail aims to encourage reusing and recycling everything from fashion through to household items.
City of Bayswater CEO Andrew Brien said the City is proud to support responsible and sustainable retail.
“It’s incredibly exciting to see such a positive response to our first year taking part – with 178 sales already signed up right across the City.
“Our community have shown us time and time again their ability to come together for a great cause, the Garage Sale Trail is a chance for local people to find a great bargain all the while creating awareness for what we do with the items we no longer want.
