Maylands Waterland closed for future renovations
Waterland will be closed for the 2019/20 season with the aim to have some redeveloped facilities open to the public by November 2021
On 3 September 2019, Council voted to close Maylands Waterland for the 2019/20 season and reallocate any savings towards the future redevelopment of the aging facility.
The City is working with the Maylands Waterland Working Group (comprising City officers, Councillors, and community representatives from the Friends of Maylands Waterland Group) on a concept design with the aim to have some redeveloped facilities open to the public by November 2021.
