Community to help shape the future of Baysie

The City is developing its new Strategic Community Plan

Community to help shape the future of Baysie
Feb 19 2020

The City of Bayswater is asking its community to help ‘shape the future of Baysie’ as it kicks off a major visioning exercise that will lead to the development of its new Strategic Community Plan.

Mayor Dan Bull is keen for community members of the inner east to tell Council what is important to them.

“The Strategic Community Plan is the City’s key planning document. It captures the City’s vision, priorities and aspirations for the next 10 years as outlined by you, the community.

“Whether you are a resident, community member or business owner, now is the time to have your say.

“As Councillors, we are elected to champion the needs of our community. We need your help to guide us in the right direction. We want to make sure we capture what is important to you now, and into the future.

“To have your say just jump online at engage.bayswater.wa.gov.au and answer two simple questions:

“What does being part of the City of Bayswater community mean to you? and

What would you like us to do over the next 10 years to improve the City of Bayswater?”

“You can also provide your feedback in person at the City of Bayswater Civic Centre, or the Maylands, Bayswater or Morley Library.”

“Our friendly staff will be gathering feedback at community events during February and March.

“The City’s Strategic Community Plan 2020-30 will in turn inform the development of the City’s Corporate Business Plan. This vital document outlines the actions the organisation will take to deliver on the priorities set out by the community.

“The next phase of consultation will involve a number of workshops. You can register your interest in participating in a community workshop by visiting engage.bayswater.wa.gov.au or contacting the City directly.

“I am confident our community will embrace the opportunity to contribute to a new vision for Bayswater and help shape the future of our fabulous community.”
