Mayor Dan Bull said, "The City's painting contractor, Marawar Building Services, has completed a series of our club and community buildings, including the Filipino Australian Club of Perth, Hinds Reserve Pavilion, Noranda Netball Centre, Hampton Scout Hall, Roxy Theatre and Riverside Gardens toilets.

"This work was fast-tracked as part of our $5.09 million local stimulus package to help our community groups recover from COVID-19 impacts.

"The City is very proud to work with Marawar, an Aboriginal-owned business, whose workforce is around 40 per cent Aboriginal, with this number increasing.

"Providing work opportunities for Indigenous people is central to the City's Reconciliation Action Plan, first introduced in 2017."
