Arbor Park program launches

Greening Australia, The Behaviour Change Collective and Lotterywest launch Arbor Park event program with the City.

Arbor Park program launches
May 07 2021

Celebrity sustainability gardener Chris Ferreira demonstrated how to create a waterwise verge garden as part the City of Bayswater's sustainability and environment open day at the Arbor Park Greening Day on Sunday 2 May.

Mayor Dan Bull said that the Greeening Australia program highlights the ways in which the community can work with the City, so we can all make a difference.

"The Arbor Park Greening Day was aimed at helping the community create greener spaces in their homes, and to work alongside the City to encourage biodiversity back into urban areas.

The event showcased the many programs the City has available which support residents making positive changes for the environment, including an earlybird launch of the Plants to Residents program, Community Planting Days, free Street Trees, the Waterwise Verge Rebate program, and some great information from the FOGO team about our new waste collection system.

This event is the first in a 6 month series of community workshops, planting days and events taking place at Arbor Park as part of the Our Park, Our Place project, a collaborative project between the City of Bayswater, Greening Australia, The Behaviour Change Collaborative and Lotterywest.
