The City has completed a $114,000 playspace and landscape upgrade to Feredy Reserve in Embleton, as part of the City’s Play Space Strategy.

Thanks to feedback from the community, Feredy Reserve now features a new playground, shade sails, bollards and mulched garden beds with native plants, offering an improved area for families to play, relax and picnic.

The existing play equipment was replaced with a large, brand new playground consisting of two slides, a three-seat swing set, a sand digger and several climbing structures.

New shade sails have also been installed over the play equipment, providing children with increased sun protection.

In addition to the shade sails and new play equipment, 1,400 native plants were installed into new mulched garden beds to help enhance biodiversity and reduce water use.

The City is committed to improving its reserves and facilities, and developing inclusive playspaces as part of its Play Space Strategy.
