Community members are invited to share in the magic of Christmas and take part in a sing-along under the stars as part of the City’s Carols by Candlelight event on Saturday 16 December.

From 5 to 9pm, families and friends can gather at Riverside Gardens West in Bayswater for a heart-warming concert of classic Christmas tunes, with performances by the West Australian Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Providence Baysie Christmas Choir and The Christmas Special party band.

Concert-goers can browse Christmas markets for last-minute gifts and pick up a delicious dinner from a food truck or pack a picnic to enjoy under the stars. Craft activities, face painting and rides will keep the little ones entertained before a special appearance from Santa.

Programs will be available for a gold coin donation, with all proceeds going to Perth Homeless Support Group.

The City is working with vendors to reduce single-use plastics at this event. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottles to fill at the water station, and make use of their own reusable containers and cups.

Carols by Candlelight is supported by the City’s community partner, iAct Film & Drama Studios, and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
