The City has completed a $60,000 playspace upgrade to Lower Hillcrest Reserve in Bayswater, as part of the City’s Play Space Strategy.

Thanks to community feedback, the popular Lower Hillcrest Reserve now features a new nature-inspired playground, picnic area and native trees, offering an improved area for families to play, relax and picnic.

The existing play equipment was replaced with a brand new playground consisting of a swing set, monkey bars, a climbing frame, ninja steppers, a tunnel and several balancing structures.

In addition to the new play equipment, native trees were planted to enhance biodiversity and provide added shade to the area.

The City is committed to improving its reserves and facilities, and developing inclusive playspaces as part of its Play Space Strategy.
