New to Australia

The City of Bayswater is home to a large multicultural community.  Our diverse community is represented from Western Australia’s Aboriginal inhabitants and traditional custodians, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation. Our multicultural community is also represented by people who were born in England, India, Vietnam, New Zealand, Italy, China, Malaysia, Philippines, and Ireland.

In 2015, the City of Bayswater made a commitment in spirit to welcoming refugees into the community, upholding the human rights of refugees, demonstrating compassion for refugees and enhancing cultural and religious diversity in the community.

Taking part in events and programs are also a great way to settle in a new community, so we'd recommend taking a look here and below, to see what we have coming up that might interest you.
